Approve retroactive Agreement with Mendocino County Youth Project in the amount of $184,609 to provide community and Juvenile Hall intervention, prevention, education, and treatment services for the period of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024; authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Youth Project (MCYP) provides various youth services for the community as well as in-custody. Community services are provided to justice involved youth and at-risk middle or high school youth with no other funding service options. Services include early intervention, prevention, education, and direct counseling services to youth through various programs with the goal of maximizing opportunities for these youth to lead productive, successful lives. In-custody services provide intervention, education and therapeutic services to youth housed in Mendocino County Juvenile Hall (MCJH) through programs such as Youth Success Coaching (individual and group) and Mental Health Therapy (individual, group, and family).
