SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The USDA Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program provides affordable funding to develop and improve essential community facilities in rural areas. Coast Community branch in Point Arena needs updated technology including: a new self-checkout computer, identifying tag conversion cart and check out circulation scanners, receipt printers, coin machine and public print PC, conference technology (laptop, camera, microphone & speaker, and screen), a portable study pod, and a generator to continue to provide needed services during power outages.

The Coast Community Branch serves Point Arena and residents and visitors in neighboring communities such as Elk, Anchor Bay, Manchester, and Gualala. It provides free access to fast internet and is the only location which has printing and copying available. The grant wou...
