Adopt Resolution authorizing the processing of a Consolidated Coastal Development Permit, LCP_2023-0003 (The Nature Conservancy, South Fork Ten Mile River Habitat Restoration), by the California Coastal Commission, for The Nature Conservancy to restore and enhance habitat for juvenile and adult salmonids in South Fork Ten Mile River in the Cleone Area; and authorize chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The applicant, The Nature Conservancy, has obtained two prior consolidated Coastal Development Permits, as authorized by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, to allow for the processing of the South Fork Ten Mile River restoration project under California Coastal Commission. Phases 1a and 1b were approved to be consolidated with the California Coastal Commission by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors in 2017 and 2020, respectively.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Nature Conservancy proposes, as Phase 2 of their overall plans, to increase riverine capacity for coho salmon in the South Fork Ten Mile River, downstream from Phases 1a and 1b of the overall project, by constructing both in-channel and off-channel habitat element restoration such as wood structures, numerous alcove constructions, wetland improvement, and bioenginee...
