Approve second amendment to BOS Agreement No. 23-081 with Axon Enterprise, Inc. in the amount of $33,384 for the addition of Redaction Assistant licensing effective upon signing through June 30, 2027; authorize the Sheriff to sign any future amendments that do not affect the maximum Agreement total; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On May 23, 2023, the Board approved a five-year Agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. in the amount of $379,553.75 for a digital evidence management system for the Sheriff's Office with a term of June 1, 2023 through June 30, 2027. On October 17, 2023, the Board approved Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $321,829.70 for the addition of body-worn cameras and licensing.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Sheriff's Office is requesting approval of Amendment No. 2 of the Agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the addition of Redaction Assistant licensing to work in conjunction with the existing digital evidence management software system in the amount of $33,384 to be paid over a four-year period for a new Agreement not-to-exceed amount of $734,767.45. Redaction Assistant is a productivity tool built to increase efficiency for law enforcement agencies who currently spend hours manually redacting each hour of body-worn camera video footage. Given that this tool redacts video footage automatically, it will save valuable staff time.
