Summary of Request:
California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of AIDS, works collaboratively with state and federal agencies, local health jurisdictions, universities, and community-based organizations to ensure that efforts to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic are targeted and effective. CDPH contracts with Mendocino County Public Health to provide AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Assistance Program (PrEP-AP) enrollment services in Willits, Ukiah, and Fort Bragg. With funding from the proposed Agreement, Public Health will assist clients in navigating through the financial assistance programs for HIV and AIDS treatment, assess clients’ eligibility for and assist with enrollment into other third-party insurance coverages, provide outreach services to clients, and assess clients’ eligibility and assist with enrollment for medication manufacturer assistance programs.
Public Health received the proposed Agreement from CDPH in December 2023, after the effective date of July 1, 2023, therefore, Public Health is now seeking execution of the retroactive Agreement.
