On June 24, 2025, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2025-2026 Budget, Resolution Number 25-111.

                     

Summary of Request

The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections. 

 

At the request of the Social Services Director, Human Resources requests the Board amend the Position Allocation Table to add a Social Worker Advance - FCS and delete position numbers 2022 and 4797, Social Woker IV-B.  The new positions are allocated within Family Children Services and are necessary to ensure the department meets State of California requirements for the provision of Child Welfare Emergency Response and Family Maintenance services.  These services require staff who meet state-mandated qualifications and are authorized to perform the full range of child welfare social work functions.

 

The impact below for this fiscal year is calculated at step 5 and includes the cost of benefits. The recurring cost shown below is calculated at step 5, including the cost of benefits.
