Summary of Request:
The proposed Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center (MCHC) is funded by the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) Round 3 allocation jointly awarded to the County of Mendocino and Mendocino County Homeless Services Continuum of Care (MCHSCoC) by the California Interagency Council on Homelessness. Through the proposed Agreement, MCHC will provide congregate shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Mendocino County. Services will include shelter support staffing, operating activities, utilities, supplies, maintenance, linkage to other services, case management, review of program eligibility, and monthly reporting. The proposed Agreement is fully funded with grant funds and no General Fund dollars will be used.
This Agreement is retroactive as the contracting process could not be initiated until Social Services staff, the MCHSCoC Board and Membership, and the Ad-Hoc Committee approved vendors and funding amounts through the review process for Request for Proposals No. 040-23.
