Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On September 13, 2022, the Board adopted Resolution No. 22-193 approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Mendocino and the Mendocino County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association.                     

 

Summary of Request

The Board of Supervisors’ negotiating team has met with representative(s) from the Mendocino County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association and have reached agreement regarding the appropriate terms and conditions of employment for the term of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.  Attached is a Resolution approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).   The proposed changes to the MOU include an increase in wages in FY 23/24, which would bring the unit to 100% of market (total compensation, which includes benefits) and cost of living increases in FY 24/25 & FY 25/26.

Return to staff with further direction.
