Summary of Request:
County Counsel provides legal representation, advice and counsel to the County, its governing Board of Supervisors, County departments, various special districts, and other public agencies, as mandated and authorized by California statutes and local ordinances. The County has retained various outside law firms to represent the County in a variety of legal matters to provide specialized legal services. In connection with upcoming improvement projects, the County is in need of bond counsel services. Hawkins Delafield & Wood, LLP, assisted the County with the Series 2022 Certificates of Participation and is best positioned to assist the County with any questions regarding these certificates going forward.
Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP specializes in public finance and infrastructure offering governmental agencies, non-profit corporations and financial institutions legal services and counsel in finance and infrastructure transaction. Hawkins was founded in 1854, and currently has 90 lawyers in ten offices across the country.
