Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

The Board has received regular updates on the status of Mendocino County’s mental health services since March 15, 2016. The most recent update to the Board occurred on May 8, 2018.                      

 

Summary of Request

The Health and Human Services Agency has prepared an update on the provision of mental health services in Mendocino County as overseen by Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS). This update will report on (1) the County’s obligation to provide Specialty Mental Health Services, and the duties of Redwood Quality Management Company as the Administrative Service Organization for both Children’s and Adult’s mental health services; and (2) the services provided under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA Prop 63). BHRS will also address the recommendations made by the Board’s consultant in February, 2016 following the implementation of the Administrative Service Model in July 2013.
