Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Youth Project (MCYP) provides Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) and Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) programs to Mendocino County youth (0-17) and up to 100 transitional age youth (18-24) residents within the schools, community, and office.
On July 11, 2023, the County of Mendocino Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Agreement No. BOS-23-125 with MCYP to provide SMHS to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries of Mendocino County. The SMHS provided by MCYP through this Agreement include Assessment, Plan Development, Collateral, Therapy, Rehabilitation, Targeted Case Management, and Intensive Care Coordination. MCYP serves up to 250 youth (0-17) and up to 100 transitional age youth (18-24) beneficiaries under SMHS. The MHSA programs MCYP provides include Prevention and Early Intervention, Breaking the Silences, Community Supports and Services, and Full Service Partnerships. MCYP serves up to 200 individuals through MHSA services.
The proposed Amendment extends the Agreement end date to September 30, 2024, increases the number of clients MCYP will serve by 20%, and increases the total amount by $177,491 for a new total of $1,107,491. The proposed Amendment will allow MCYP to continue providing SMHS in Mendocino County while Behavioral Health and Recovery Services issues a new Request for Proposal. Once the proposed Amendment is executed, it will be effective for the full term of the Agreement from July 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.
