Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On October 22, 2024, by order of the Chair, an ad hoc committee was formed to perform inspection of the completed street improvement of the privately owned portion of Feed Lot Lane. On October 25, 2024, the ad hoc committee met with Department of Transportation staff to view the road to be dedicated.
Summary of Request:
Ukiah Pacific Associates II, a California Limited Partnership, has developed a property along Feed Lot Lane (private), between No Name (known as Millview Road) (CR 106) and Lovers Lane (CR 222). As part of that development, Ukiah Pacific Associates has upgraded this private section of Feed Lot Lane to County Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. The County-owned portion of Feed Lot Lane extends 0.08 miles west from No Name (Mill View Lane) (CR 106) to Bush Street (CR 250C). This new section of Feed Lot Lane will add 0.07 miles from Millview Road (CR 106) to Lovers Lane (CR 222). Ukiah Pacific Associates II has requested that the improved street be accepted into of the County Maintained Road System. T recommends accepting the improved street into the County Maintained Road System as this portion of the street is integral to the circulation and emergency services in the area.
The street improvements and monumentation have been completed in substantial compliance with approved Mendocino County Road & Development Standards. The improved street is to be accepted as part of the County Maintained Road System and, in accordance with requirements of County Code Section 17-78(B), final inspection by duly appointed Board representatives and a designee of the County Engineer was performed on October 25, 2024. A letter from the Board representatives is attached hereto, recommending that the Board accept the road into the County Maintained Road System.
Alternative Action/Motion:
