Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On March 26, 2019, the Board approved an amendment to Agreement BOS 10-207 in the amount of $117,625 for Aegis CAD Upgrade for Computer Aided Dispatch Services. On October 20, 2020, the Board approved an amendment to Agreement BOS 10-207 in the amount of $438,642.73 to pay maintenance and support fees for Aegis MSP Public Safety Software Suite with an auto-renewal term of 99 additional periods not to exceed 1 year each.
Summary of Request:
The Brazos software provides the Sheriff’s Office the ability to meet the California AB 953 Stop Data Collection mandate of 2015. The State is requiring that the law enforcement provide statistical reporting on stops and racial/identity profiling. This is an unfunded mandate by the State. Tyler is our current software provider for records management. They are the sole provider of this interface that will meet and exceed the State’s requirements.
The Amendment adds the Brazos software and services to BOS Agreement 10-207, 10-207-A1, and 10-207-A2. The $4,063 annual SaaS fees will be invoiced on an annual basis, beginning on the first day of the month following the Amendment Effective Date, prorate to align with the applicable term of BOS Agreement 10-207, 10-207-A1, and 10-207-A2. Upon expiration of the initial term, the annual SaaS fees will be at Tyler’s then-current rates. The Amendment also includes $5,000 for additional implementation and other professional services (training) that are billed and invoiced as delivered.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Return to staff for alternative handling.
