Summary of Request

The federal government allocates more than $675 billion in federal funds annually for health, welfare, infrastructure, education and other federal programs and services. The notice further states that correct boundaries ensure governments receive funds appropriately. This might help address the county budget deficit and provide additional outside federal funds to help maintain the critical services necessary to support our way of life. In response to Rep. Huffman’s inquiry about how to give input about the composition of Census Designated Places, Census staff clarified that:

“CDPs are now included in our annual Boundary and Annexation Survey schedule, here's a direct link to the BAS page: Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) (census.gov).”
