By Resolution No. 24-062 (April 23, 2024), the BOS approved BOS Agreement No. 24-057 (DOT Agreement No. 240006), with GHD, Inc., in the amount of $4,916,000 for Allocation 1, for Professional Engineering Design Services, and authorizing an additional contingency amount of $200,000, for the Redemeyer Road Extension Project, County Road (CR) 215A.
Summary of Request:
Department of Transportation Contract No. 250043 was executed on September 3, 2025 with the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians to provide tribal monitoring services during the archeological Extended Phase I (XPI) study, as required by Caltrans for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This first amendment to the agreement provides for $64,160 of additional funds needed for exploratory cultural field investigations, Phase II Evaluation for the Redemeyer Road Extension Project. Caltrans has required the County to conduct a Phase II Evaluation for cultural resources identified in the Extended Phase I (XPI) study. All project-related costs are 100% reimbursable by the Local Transportation Climate Adaptation Program (LTCAP) Cycle 1.

Provide direction to staff; postpone approval of the first amendment to DOT Agreement No. 250043.
