Adopt the Resolution making Government Code §§31685-31685.96 applicable in Mendocino County allowing Mendocino County Employees Retirement Association (MCERA) members to use separate accounts pursuant to a court order dividing the community property interest in the member’s retirement benefit; and authorize Chair to sign same.

The MCERA Board of Retirement requests that the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors make Article 8.4 of the County Employees Retirement Law, Government Code sections 31685 -31685.96, applicable in Mendocino County. This would permit MCERA to use separate accounts in the division of the community property interest in an MCERA retirement benefit.
