Summary of Request:
The Mendocino County Local Child Care Development Plan is a joint consortia under the Mendocino County Office of Education and the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors. The committee provided updates on the attached plan on January 4, 2022 and are returning today for final approval of the plan. The proposed plan is a five year plan in which the goals for the group are provided with a focus on enhancing existing community supports and expanding resources and educating our community on the benefits of a mixed delivery childcare system. Upon approval from the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors the Local Child Care Development Plan will be submitted to the California Department of Social Services meeting State requirements for continued funding support to the childcare system within Mendocino County.
