Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
The Board approved the Agreement on September 13, 2016 for a period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 with option to extend the term of the agreement three (3) times for a period of one (1) year per extension on the same terms and conditions.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Youth Project provides a mental health clinician 20.0 hours per week to the youth incarcerated in the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall. The funding is provided by the Supportive and Therapeutic Options Program (STOP) grant and the Youth Offender Block Grant (YOBG). The hours provided were reduced from 30.0 hours per week to 20.0 hours per week effective October 1, 2017 due to the removal of the Lake County youth from detention in the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall. This reduced the FY17-18 cost from $78,698.00 to $61,975.00
