Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
At the May 22, 2024, Meeting the Board approved the creation of a new Capital Investment Fund and related accounts for Library projects funded by Measure O revenues.
Summary of Request:
Damage and/or wear have resulted in the loss of functionality for the main entrance doors for the Ukiah Branch library. Repeated attempts to repair the doors have revealed significant alignment issues in the storefront wall system supporting the doors. The project will replace the entire storefront glazed wall system and doors with all new framing, glazing and doors that will allow for the proper alignment and operation of the doors and provide a more secure and energy efficient assembly at this location. Funding for this necessary improvement will be provided by the Library’s Measure O Capital Investment Fund, budget unit 1715, org CILB.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Do not authorize the project and provide direction to staff.
