The Board regularly approves grants for Library collection materials and programs and authorized the submission of this grant application on Dec. 4, 2018.                     

 

Summary of Request

Coast Community Library was awarded the Book-to-Action grant to create programs about the importance of bees as pollinators. The Library will have author visits, show a film series, and have book discussions. The grant will provide $2,000 for new books and speaker fees. The invoices will be paid directly by the California Center for the Book program and will have no effect on the Library’s budget.

Not authorize the acceptance of the grant and provide further instruction to staff.
