Approve retroactive service Agreement with Sonicnet, Inc. in the amount of $55,800 for fiber connection/voice telecommunications utility services, effective June 29, 2024, through June 29, 2027; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or their designee to execute any and all documents in relation to the transaction; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or their designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
Sonicnet, Inc. provides the County with internet connectivity, domain name services, and telephone service. These services are key contributors to network resiliency, business continuity, and public access to county resources. This contract secures the cost of these services for the next three years starting June 29th, 2024, through June 28th, 2027. Payments in the amount of $1,550 are due monthly totaling $55,800 over the life of the agreement. The proposed agreement provides more services at no additional cost over the outgoing contract.
This proposed agreement is retroactive because Sonicnet, Inc. required additional time to update the agreement terms and returned the finalized contract documents to the department after the last available Board meeting in June 2024. The Executive Office - Information Technology Division is recommending approval of this agreement in the amount of $55,800, from June 29, 2024, to June 29, 2027. -
