Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Office of Emergency Services (OES) is the primary coordination agency for emergencies and disasters within Mendocino County. OES is charged with managing the mass notification program, amongst other programs, in coordination with the Mendocino County Executive Office and the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.
Per Board direction, OES has been tasked to bring a formal plan and budgeting information regarding the Office of Emergency Operations Mass Notifications Plan forward as an item, including estimated costs for implementation and incorporation into the Information Technology Master Plan.
The attached PowerPoint slides outlines the cost and funding source for the electronic notification systems (ENS) currently in use. Also attached is After Action Report (AAR) developed following the May 26, 2021 live mass notification exercise.
