Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On June 24, 2025, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2025-2026 Budget, Resolution Number 25-111.

Summary of Request

The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.

At its September 23, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board approved the deletion of position number 1345, Environmental Health Specialist II, in budget unit 4011 (Environmental Health) due to the position being vacant for a period that exceeded six (6) months.

The department has since been approved to recruit for an Environmental Health Specialist II and respectfully request that the Board of Supervisors add 1.0 FTE back to the Position Allocation Table.  There is no overall impact to the budget as this was previously approved in FY 25-26 budget process.
