Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
In 1991 the Board adopted Division II of Title 20 of Mendocino County Code through Ordinance No. 3785. Included in Division II is Section 20.536.005(C) which provides for reporting of the Coastal Development Administrative Permits approved by the Coastal Permit Administrator to the Board of Supervisors.
Summary of Request:
The request is for a Coastal Development Administrative Permit to construct a 1,080 square-foot barn, a 1,824 square-foot single-family residence, install a septic system, and grade and pave a driveway with a turnaround. In addition, the project includes permitting six after-the-fact sheds. The subject parcel is located in the Coastal Zone, 1.7± miles east of the Point Arena city center, 1.5± miles east of the intersection of State Route 1 and Eureka Hill Road, located at 42501 Eureka Hill Road, Point Arena (APN: 024-241-18).The Coastal Development Permit was administratively approved by the Coastal Permit Administrator (CPA) on September 8, 2026 and requires the Board of Supervisors authorization for issuance of the permit. The CPA staff report is attached for review.
Alternative Action/Motion:
That the Coastal Development Permit CDP_2023-0007 (Reifers) be scheduled for a public hearing and processed pursuant to Mendocino County Code Section 20.536.015.
