Summary of Request:
Data Strategy Consulting LLC., Sarah Marikos (DSC) will work in coordination with the Public Health Officer, the Deputy Public Health Officer(s), the COVID-19 Local Emergency Incident Commander, the Emergency/Department Operations Center Manager, Public Health Director or their designee to provide epidemiological briefing on state, region, and county-wide trends and projections to inform operations and planning. To facilitate the delivery of services, COVID-19 data will be analyzed through California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE) and Snowflake (vaccine data), as well as other appropriate platforms, as needed. In addition, DSC will provide epidemiology analysis and briefing regarding Public Health’s efforts toward equity, as required by the California Equitable Recovery Initiative (CERI) contract with the California Department of Public Health, and as needed. Furthermore, DSC will be available for consultation by phone or via internet meeting software, to provide feedback and advice to Mendocino County staff in public health epidemiology, upon County request.
Approval of the retroactive Agreement with Data Strategy Consulting, LLC., Sarah Marikos is requested in the amount of $100,000 to provide both COVID-19 specific, and non-COVID-19 related epidemiology services. The proposed Agreement is retroactive due to the need to implement services quickly, which allowed only a short time frame to negotiate and execute the contract.
