Approve Agreement with National Training Consultants in the amount of $83,000 to provide facilitation of court-mandated family empowerment groups for Family & Children’s Services in FY 2017-18; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

National Training Consultants provides facilitation of Family Empowerment Groups (FEG), a group service required of parents who have cases in Mendocino County Juvenile Dependency Court. Funding from this Agreement provides for the facilitation of six, two-hour FEGs weekly for up to fifty weeks in Ukiah, Willits, and Laytonville and covers costs associated with facilitation, travel, documentation, and other reporting needs as required by Family and Children’s Services social workers.
