Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On March 28, 2023, the Board approved the First Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 23-042 increasing the total amount by $200,000 for a new total of $400,000.
On March 12, 2024, the Board approved the Second Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 23-042 increasing the total amount by $300,000 for a new total of $700,000 and extended the termination date through December 31, 2024.
On June 25, 2024, the Board approved the Third Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 23-042 increasing the total amount by $700,000 for a new total of $1,400,000.
Summary of Request:
County Counsel is requesting the Board to approve the amended agreement with Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedmann & Girard in the amount of $600,000 for a new total of $2,000,000. This amendment provides continued legal services for the litigation matter of Paul Carty Soriano v. County of Mendocino, Case No. 22CV0044, without extending the termination date.
