Summary of Request:
On October 8, 2017, the Mendocino Lake Complex Fire started and has resulted in significant structural damage and evacuations of several portions of the County. A Local Emergency was declared on October 9, 2017, followed the same day by a declaration by Governor Brown that a State emergency exists throughout Mendocino County. On October 10, 2017, the Board of Supervisors ratified the Mendocino County Chief Executive Officer/Director of Emergency Services and Public Health Officer’s proclamation that an emergency exists in Mendocino County and authorized the Chief Executive Officer to take all necessary actions to provide information to the public and to coordinate the collection and transmittal of all information required to be approved for State and Federal assistance.
