Approve Agreement with Ford Street Project in the amount of $103,680 to provide vocational services for CalWORKs Job Services participants in FY 2017-18; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Ford Street Project will provide a comprehensive and intensive vocational and living skills program to CalWORKs participants which leads directly to employment and contributes to employment retention. These services will be offered as part of the Family Stabilization Program and will work in conjunction with the subsidized employment program, allowing participants to prepare for subsidized employment placements upon the successful completion of the vocational program. These services are delivered in one location and the classes are rotational, allowing participants to enter the program at any point in the curriculum.
