Approve request by Long Valley Fire Protection District to extend the one-time Pacific Gas and Electric Disaster Settlement Funds, in the amount of $15,044 to purchase EMS equipment and supplies; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign the resulting agreement and any amendments that do not increase the maximum amounts.

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
March 9, 2021, the Board of Supervisors, during the budget workshop, discussed obtaining input from Community and County Departments regarding priority projects within the County that could be funded by the one-time PG&E Disaster Settlement Funds.
April 6, 2021, Item 5(c), the Board accepted a presentation from Coastal Valley EMS Agency that outlined requested projects to be funded with a portion of PG&E Disaster Settlement Funds.
August 17, 2021, Item 4(f), the Board accepted prioritized spend for projects utilizing PG&E Disaster Settlement Funds.
January 7, 2025, the Board approved reallocating $321,694 of the one-time Pacific Gas and Electric Disaster Settlement Funds to be distributed among the County’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transport agencies to purchase EMS equipment and supplies.
Summary of Request:
The Board approved reallocating $321,694 of the one-time Pacific Gas and Electric Disaster Settlement Funds to be distributed among the County’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transport agencies to purchase EMS equipment and supplies at the January 7, 2025 meeting. Long Valley Fire Protection District received their executed contract of $15,044 in April 2025 with a termination date of December 31, 2025. On February 11, 2026, the fire district reached out to County staff to request an extension to spend the $15,044. If approved, staff will initiate a retroactive amendment to the expired contract and extend the termination date to June 30, 2026.
