Approve Agreement with Ford Street Project in the amount of $103,680 to provide vocational services for CalWORKs Job Services participants for the term of July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2018; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Ford Street Project will provide a comprehensive and intensive vocational and living skills program to participants referred by Health and Human Services Agency CalWORKs Job Services that leads directly to employment and contributes to employment retention. Services will be offered as part of the Family Stabilization Program and will work in conjunction with the Subsidized Employment Program. This allows participants to prepare for subsidized employment placements upon successful completion of the vocational program. The classes are offered in one location and are rotational, allowing participants to enter the program at any point in the curriculum.
