Adopt Resolution approving Memorandum of Understanding (Agreement 16-6045) with the California Department of Social Services for access to a cloud based database to assist with the establishment of medical benefits for special needs children; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the County, and any amendments that do not affect the maximum dollar amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) will allow Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children’s Services (FCS) to access a cloud based database implemented by the Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (AAICAMA). The AAICAMA database is to be used to transfer information between states related to the establishment of medical benefits for special needs children with adoption assistance agreements. Utilization of this database by FCS staff will replace an outdated paper process.
