By Resolution Number (No.) 23-012 (January 10, 2023) the Board of Supervisors declared the existence of a local emergency related to the December 2022/January 2023 Winter Storms Event.
Summary of Request:
These six Department of Transportation (DOT) contracts will provide for construction of the 2019 Storm Damage permanent repairs on Buckeye Road, County Road (CR) 650A, milepost (M.P.) 0.05; Elkhorn Road, CR 120, M.P. 4.90; Laytonville-Dos Rios Road, CR 322, M.P. 3.91; Old Stage Road, CR 502, M.P. 3.03 to 3.13; Peacock Road, CR 619, M.P. 0.33; and Zenia Road, CR 337L, M.P. 0.55, at an estimated cost of $1,658,401. Funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 and FY 2024/25 is budgeted through Budget Unit (BU) 3030, and is anticipated to be 93.75% reimbursable through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and California Disaster Assistance Act (CDAA) funding. The project work will consist of the construction of culverts, soldier pile walls, underdrain systems, and road repairs, rock slope protection, etc. Eligibility for FEMA and CDAA funding will be confirmed prior to contracting.
