On June 4, 2024, Board of Supervisors approved Agreement 24-080 with Kirk Gorman, Attorney at Law, to provide part-time child support attorney services to Mendocino Child Support Services, effective July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.
Summary of Request:
The Department of Child Support Services requests Board approval of the Agreement with Kirk Gorman, Attorney at Law to provide professional child support attorney services effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Kirk Gorman is a subject matter expert in child support legal matters and will serve as the department’s attorney of record in all matters filed in relation to the establishment, enforcement, or modification of child support orders. Based upon current case load size, the professional legal work can be completed within 10 hours per week.
Mendocino County Child Support Services is funded by federal and state child support revenue. There is no cost to the General Fund.
