By Resolution Number (No.) 18-034 (February 27, 2018) the Board accepted Traffic Study No. 17-01 recommending the establishment of a 25 miles per hour (MPH) prima facie speed limit on Ruddick Cunningham Road, County Road (CR) 205, from milepost (MP) 0.00 to 0.50.
Summary of Request:
Area residents, concerned about speeding on Ruddick Cunningham Road, CR 205, from MP 0.00 to MP 0.50, submitted a petition to the Road Commissioner for a speed study. The Road Commissioner found the application meritorious and authorized a traffic study. The recommendation of Traffic Study No. 17-01 is to establish a 25 MPH prima facie speed limit on Ruddick Cunningham Road, CR 205, from MP 0.00 to MP 0.50. Therefore, based on the recommendation of Traffic Study No. 17-01, Mendocino County Department of Transportation is recommending an amendment to Mendocino County Code for Ruddick Cunningham Road, CR 205, from MP 0.00 to MP 0.50, establishing a prima facie speed limit of 25 MPH.
