Summary of Request

Redwood Community Crisis Center (RC3) provides emergency mental health crisis intervention services to the children, youth, and young adults in Mendocino County who are experiencing crisis episodes and need immediate support. RC3 provides one community liaison and three regional support team members who serve youth experiencing First Episode Psychosis, with 24/7 crisis response, outreach and engagement, and after care services. RC3 works closely with the court, primary health care providers, and other community organizations.

Funding for this Agreement is provided by the federal Mental Health Block Grant for fiscal year 2017-18. Unfortunately, the County did not receive this award, and the corresponding data and evaluation requirements for the County and all subcontractors, until October. These delays impacted the County’s ability to complete the contract before the start of the fiscal year.
