Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
Adoption of Ordinance No. 4420 on December 4, 2018, making amendments to Chapters 10A.17 and 20.242 as well as adding Chapters 20.118 and 20.119 to County Code.
Summary of Request:
A Rezone to add a Cannabis Accommodation (CA) Combining District over ten (10) parcels (APNs: 019-450-08, 019-440-21, 019-440-25, 019-480-08, 019-480-09, 019-480-10, 019-480-33, 019-480-34, 019-480-35, 019-480-36), totaling 12.79± acres, located in the Fort Bragg/Mitchell Creek area on Franklin Road. The intent of the Cannabis Accommodation District is to facilitate greater flexibility in the development standards related to cannabis cultivation for existing commercial cannabis cultivation sites and suspend the Sunset Provision for Residential Districts’ and allow continued operation. The Sunset date for this area of the County is June 30, 2022.
The Planning Commission, on February 3, 2022, adopted Resolution No. PC_2022-0003 making its report and recommendation to the Board on this rezoning request. As detailed in the Resolution, the Planning Commission recommends that the Board deny the rezoning request.

Provide direction to Staff to prepare an Ordinance for adoption that would approve Rezone R_2019-0013 at the next available meeting.
