By Resolution Number (No.) 16-151 (December 20, 2016) the Board authorized declaring existence of a local emergency related to the 2016 Winter Storms Event. By Resolution No. 17-011 (January 24, 2017) Board authorized declaring existence of a local emergency related to the January 2017 Winter Storms Event.
Summary of Request:
These five Department of Transportation contracts will provide for the construction of 2016 and 2017 Storm Damage Permanent Repairs on Mountain View Road, CR 510, MP 22.02; Branscomb Road, CR 429, MP 17.21; Comptche Ukiah Road, CR 223, MP 17.25; Orr Springs Road, CR 223, MP 39.20; Bell Springs Road, CR 324, MP 17.70. The project work will consist of construction of soldier pile walls, underdrain systems, and rock slope protection, etc. Eligibility for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funding will be confirmed prior to contracting.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Postpone advertising for bids and award of contracts and delay commencement of construction.
