Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On May 19, 2026, The Board of Supervisors “Board” provided direction for the authorization of transmission of updated inventory of historic structures for the Mendocino Historic Preservation District to the Planning and Building Services Department for review and direction to Planning and Building Services staff to return to the Board to discuss the process to revise Appendix 1 of the Mendocino Town Plan (MTP), Chapter 4.13 of the Coastal Element of the General Plan. (Sponsor: Supervisor Williams)
Summary of Request:
This agenda item is an opportunity for staff to discuss and seek possible direction from the Board of Supervisors regarding updates to the Mendocino Town Plan (MTP) Inventory of Historic Structures (Appendix 1, Chapter 4.13) and to provide authorization for Planning and Building Services to solicit a Request for Proposal (RFP) for architectural historian services.
