Recommended Action/Motion:

Adopt Resolution vacating the portion of Wilderness Lodge Road (County Road 320) within Assessor’s Parcel Number 013-520-33 in the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 22 North, Range 16 West (Branscomb Area) and finding that said road vacation is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to the Categorical and/or Common Sense Exemptions identified in Sections 15601 and 15312 of the California Environmental Quality Act guidelines; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
The Angelo Coast Range Reserve is requesting the County to vacate the County right-of-way for Wilderness Lodge Road (County Road 320) where it passes through their property. The section of road to be vacated rests entirely within a parcel owned by Angelo Coast Range Reserve and will not change access to any property not owned by the reserve. There is a gate on the Angelo reserve where the County road ends, and that gate will be moved to the new end of the County road, at the edge of the Angelo Coast Range Reserve.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Postpone the public hearing and decline to vacate the road and provide direction to staff.
