Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution Number (No.) 23-012 (January 10, 2023) the Board of Supervisors declared the existence of a local emergency related to the December 2022/January 2023 Winter Storms Event.
Summary of Request:
These three Department of Transportation (DOT) contracts will provide for construction of the 2023 Storm Damage permanent repairs on Mountain View Road, County Road (CR) 510, milepost (M.P.) 1.69, and Mendocino Pass Road, CR 338, M.P. 15.50 and M.P. 16.75, at an estimated cost of $2,110,313. Funding for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 and FY 2024/25 is budgeted through Budget Unit (BU) 3030, and is anticipated to be 88.53% reimbursable through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The project work will consist of the construction of soldier pile walls, underdrain systems, culverts, etc. Eligibility for FHWA funding will be confirmed prior to contracting.

Postpone advertising for bids and award of contracts and delay commencement of construction.
