Summary of Request

On August 17, 2021, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved a Prioritized Spend related to projects for strategically investing one-time Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) disaster settlement funds, and authorized the Assistant Chief Executive Officer to prepare and bring forward the necessary contracts for distribution of funds to non-county agencies. The proposed contract with Potter Valley Community Services District in the amount of $80,000 is one of four contracts approved for Potter Valley Community Services District to make purchases as listed on the Prioritized Spend under the Potter Valley Volunteer Fire Department - $415,776 total.

Pursuant to the proposed Agreement, Potter Valley Community Services District will utilize funding to purchase a Water Tender for use by the Potter Valley Fire Department for off-road, remote area fire responses in and around Mendocino County.
