Summary of Request

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Care and Development Division published the Process for Establishing LPC Priorities: Management Bulletin 15-04 in June 2015. The purpose of the Management Bulletin was to provide a revised standardized childcare and development funding priority setting process for Local Planning Councils (LPCs). California WIC Section 10486 (b) requires LPCs to review and submit their local funding priorities to CDSS every year, on or before May 30th. The LPC priorities are used by CDSS to determine funding decisions for general childcare and preschool services. Following guidance directed by WIC 10485and 10486, Mendocino County LPC has revised priorities and the updated report is being submitted to CDSS.
