Approve Agreement with Covered California in the amount of $0, for Department of Social Services to serve as a Certified Application Entity, effective upon full execution through June 30, 2029; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
The Mendocino County Department of Social Services (DSS) has maintained a Certified Application Entity (CAE) agreement with the State of California’s Covered California program since 2014, which expired on June 30, 2024. Through the proposed Agreement, DSS will retain and train Certified Application Counselors in order to facilitate the enrollment of consumers into Qualified Health Plans offered through the Exchange.
