Summary of Request:
The Point Arena Air Force Station microwave repeater site is an integral part of the County’s emergency communication system. This license agreement allows the County equipment to remain onsite through January 4, 2030 with an option for that term to be extended through January 4, 2035. The County’s consideration for this license is the protection, care and maintenance of the premises. This consideration has included replacement of the building’s roof in 2022, with a cost of $117,150. This license is retroactive due to extended discussions between County and USAF staff which began in 2024.
