On October 22, 2024, the Inmate Welfare Fund Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2023-24 was presented to the Board by Sheriff Kendall and Buffey Bourassa, Restorative Justice Program Manager, during the Acceptance of Informational Reports Regular Calendar’s standing agenda item.                     

 

Summary of Request

California Penal Code Section 4025(e) requires that an itemized report of expenses of the Inmate Welfare Fund be submitted to the Board of Supervisors annually. Accordingly, the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Inmate Welfare Fund Annual Report is attached for the Board’s information and review. Funds described in the report support  programs for the benefit, education, and welfare of incarcerated persons confined within the Mendocino County Jail.

 

Alternative Action/Motion:

Do not accept the Inmate Welfare Fund Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and return to staff for alternate handling.
