Summary of Request

The Ignition-Resistant Project (Project) is a rebate program intended to incentivize homeowners to replace flammable roofing materials with non-flammable materials to improve community resiliency in the face of wildfire and prevent loss of life and property.

The County receives funding for this project through FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). The project is completed in two phases, with Phase 1 is completed. This contract is for Mendocino County Fire Safe Council (MCFSC) to manage the beginning of Phase 2 of the Project.  County staff will manage the remaining portion of Phase 2.

This contract is retroactive to allow the contractor to immediately begin work after Phase 2 was approved, in order to complete the project on time.
