The Board has received numerous COVID-19 updates and presentations throughout the pandemic.
Summary of Request:
As vaccination numbers rise and COVID-19 cases begin to decline, the County is prepared to reopen services based on conservative guidelines utilizing the State of California’s tier system. Due to the County’s size, and consideration of staff safety, reopening will be a cautious undertaking to ensure that proper precautions are in place before moving to the subsequent tier.
Elected offices and County departments, in conjunction with the Facilities Division of the Executive Office and individually, have been working diligently on installing and incorporating physical barriers and safeguards to ensure that when staff return to the office and offices eventually open up for public services, they do so safely.
Included with this presentation are general office guidelines that include a potential reopening schedule for elected offices and County departments based on their current open/reopening status as reported the COVID-19 Department Operations Center (DOC). Elected office or department specific reopening plans will contain more detailed guidelines as they pertain to their particular programs or services.
