Summary of Request

The mission of the Mendocino County Food Policy Council is to promote a fair and sustainable local food system through research, collaboration and collective advocacy. The County of Mendocino has supported the Food Policy Council with modest financial support over the past few years. In addition, Health and Human Services Agency staff currently serve as members of the Food Policy Council. The Food Policy Council will provide updated information to the Board of Supervisors on past and current activities, and will invite discussion and feedback on partnership and advocacy opportunities for the future.
