Summary of Request

On May 6, 2025, during Item 4c), the County of Mendocino Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved a presentation on Mendocino County’s preliminary Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 budget, which included information about Mendocino County’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) funds. During the presentation, presenters and the BOS discussed rural EMS providers receiving EMS enhancement funding from the County of Mendocino, and the BOS directed the Local EMS Agency (LEMSA) and County of Mendocino Office of Emergency Services (OES) staff to assess rural EMS provider budgets for Anderson Valley, Covelo and Laytonville Fire Departments.

Since May 6, 2025, the 2025 Assessment of Emergency Medical Services Enhancement Funding for Mendocino County was conducted, and the presentation before the BOS today outlines the findings.
